Byrd Chapel volunteers

Byrd Chapel United Methodist Church in Kents Store hosted a Stop Hunger Now event on Sunday (June 3). A total of 55 participants packed 11,480 meals to assist in ending hunger.   – contributed by Amy Fulk.

County Administrator Steve Nichols told the Board that the Louisa County Board of Supervisors has voted to suspend mutual emergency services aid to Fluvanna as of July 5.

While the fervor seems to have cooled a bit, there are still those who want the Board of Supervisors to give the schools more money. About 20 people lined the brick walkway leading to the courthouse on Wednesday carrying signs touting the need to fully fund schools.
