Nearly fifty golfers teed off at the Susan G. Koman - Rally for the Cure golf tournament on Tuesday (Sept. 25). This was the fourteenth year for this tournament which is played over the demanding Lake Monticello golf course. This event which helps support the fight against breast cancer raises money for the cause through a $20 per player entry fee and by soliciting a $25 per hole sponsors’ fee. There was also a large raffle that brought in additional funds. Forty-two raffle prizes were distributed, including a driver that was made by long time local golf guru Emil Colmenaris.
The tournament raised $1,860.
