FUMA coach to be inducted to Virginia Sports Hall of Fame

Fluco volleyball team takes the title

FUMA takes state championship

“You can shave my head if you win the championship with only eight guys,” Fork Union Military Academy Swim Coach, Chris Van Slooten told his team while on the way to their championship meet in Northern Virginia.  The swimmers and divers took those words seriously when they returned home from the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association State Championship meet last weekend.   The FUMA coach allowed his swimmers to shave his head after a stunning one point win at the championship meet.
