Aqua Virginia now in compliance with environmental regulations

The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has terminated a consent order Aqua Virginia Inc. had been operating under since purchasing the Lake Monticello wastewater system in Fluvanna County in 2003, the company announced Thursday (March 21).

The state issued the consent order to the previous owners of the system because of significant environmental violations.

Rotarians seek to buy defibrillator for athletics program

The Rotary Club of Fluvanna County collected $750 in money and pledges in front of Food Lion and Good Neighbor Pharmacy on Saturday (Feb. 9) and SundayBurt Brittain (Feb.10) to purchase a new defibrillator for the Fluco sports program.
