Seated at the table of honor was staff employees Carol Owen and Leslie Geer along with our library director Cyndi Hoffman.
Our program director, Janet Cox, then gave each of the staff members a gift certificate to show our appreciation for their hard work.
Everyone next enjoyed the brunch which was catered by Penny Lane Catering.
This concludes our meetings for the summer. Our next meeting will be on Sept. 5 at 10 a.m. at the library when our featured speaker will be Carlos Santos publisher and editor of the Fluvanna Review.
The library is in dire need of donations of gently read books, audio books, music CDs, videogames, DVDs and VHS tapes for our book sale. Please bring your donations to the circulation desk in the library. All proceeds from our book sales benefit the Fluvanna County library and in this era of tight budgets this is sorely needed. Any questions on donations can be directed to the library at 589-1400.
