Carysbrook elementary gets facelift

Taylor, a former Fluco (class of 1990), is owner of both Armstrong Landscaping and Taylor Masonry located in Fluvanna County. He and his businesses have assisted and donated both time, materials, and labor to the schools in a number of different ways. Over the last several years he has participated in the Day of Caring, which this year is set for September 19, so when he called and asked if there was anything he could assist with at Carysbrook to help with the opening we took him up on his offer. He stated “it does not have to be the Day of Caring to help out the community.”

They have rejuvenated Carysbrook’s front entrance and spruced up their courtyard where students will be able to eat lunch and have instruction. The donating of their time and volunteering is a great way to not only assist the schools but also model for our students about giving back to the community for what it has given you.
