The dropout rate is also the lowest recorded by Fluvanna since the state began computing the on-time graduation rate four years ago.
Compared with other school divisions across the state, Fluvanna ranked sixth out of 131 school divisions for lowest dropout rate.
“Helping students to see the importance education plays in their life is a community effort. The county of Fluvanna should be proud of this accomplishment,” said Gena Keller, superintendent of schools.
Fluvanna’s on-time graduation rate was 93.2 percent in 2012 compared to 93.3 percent in 2011 and is higher than the state’s rate at 88 percent.
In the surrounding area, Fluvanna had the second highest graduation rate. Compared with other school divisions across the state, Fluvanna ranked 18th out of 131 school divisions for highest graduation
The statistics detail outcomes for students who entered the ninth grade for the first time in 2008 and were scheduled to graduate in the spring of 2012.
