Check your new voter card. This card was mailed to you in the last month by the state of Virginia. Every registered voter who in the county has recently received a new voter card, which lists your name, residence address, precinct and the name and address of your voting location.
Go to the website for the State Board of Elections (www.sbe.virginia.gov). Click on “Double check where you vote – it may have changed.” Enter your locality (Fluvanna County), your residence address, and then click on “search.” You will get the name and address of your voting location, and even driving directions.
Because of construction, be prepared for traffic delays at the intersection of route 53 and route 600.
The election of Nov. 6 is expected to have record breaking numbers of voters. Be prepared for delays.
The State Board of Election web site (www.sbe.virginia.gov) also has a sample ballot. You may wish to review the sample ballot before you come to the polling place. This will help avoid delays at the polls.
