Constance “Connie” Rae (Karstetter) English

She graduated from The Reading Hospital School of Nursing, and was an avid Penn State football fan.
In addition she enjoyed playing bridge, working crossword puzzles, and cooking for loved ones.
Connie retired in 2000 after proudly serving as a nurse with the American Red Cross for 22 years.
Originally from the Lock Haven, PA area she later moved to Hatfield, PA during her time with the Red Cross, and then retired in Virginia to be close to family.
Locally she was a member of the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Palmyra, VA.
She is survived by three daughters, Jan Allison (Robert) Kierzkowski, Lynn Ellen (Robert) Gardella and Jennifer Rae (Eric) Erb; two sons, Christopher Evans English and Bruce William English; a sister, Phyllis Kimmel; and grandchildren, Kathryn, Melissa, Abigail and Hannah Kierzkowski; Rebecca, Rachel and Nicholas Gardella; and Daniel, Patrick and David Erb.
Her memorial mass took place on May 4th at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Palmyra, VA. Burial will be in Central Pennsylvania at the convenience of the family.
Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Piedmont.
