The middle school has been the focus of controversy after parents complained about Principal Yardley Farquharson’s handling of the opening day of school on Monday (Aug. 12).
Hundreds of parents and other Fluvanna residents have commented on the Fluvanna Review website and to school officials expressing concern about how their children were treated. Many said that their children were yelled at by Farquharson.
The press release stated that the middle school will hold a “meet and greet” with parents on Thursday, August 15, at 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the FMS media center.
