The Flucos led by only two when junior reserve Craig Cook was fouled with 51 seconds remaining, to keep the Flucos from running out the clock. Cook coolly sank both free throws. The Flucos rebounded a Fuqua miss, and broke the Falcons desperation press to find Cook alone underneath for a lay-up that sealed the victory. Junior guard Talavious Hughes led the Flucos in scoring with 16. Freshman Aamir Simms added eight. The Flucos now play for the tournament title tomorrow (Dec. 31) against Spotswood High School at 3:30 p.m.
