After 17 years as a styling engineer at Chrysler Corp., he founded Fabricated Materials Corp. as a manufacturer’s rep for automotive supplies from which he retired in 1993. Bill was enthusiastic about his work, hobbies, family life, travels and most importantly golf. He was a founding and current member of Brookwood Golf Course in Rochester and Rio Verde Country Club, Arizona. Bill was know for a superb short game and was lucky enough to have had six holes in one. He was an avid reader, wood and furniture craftsman, engineer/mechanic, and tennis player. He loved lively intellectual discussions and often challenged his friends and family with good natured and humorous quips. He is also survived by his sisters, Thelma Stowell of Virginia and Doris Coughlin of Nevada. His sister Theresa LaRose of Massachusetts, preceded him in death.
Visitation was held Thursday, August 21, from 4 to 8 p.m. Remembrances were from 7 to 8 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home in Rochester, Michigan.
A funeral Mass was held Friday, August 22, at 10 a.m. St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Rochester, Michigan.
