Mahone, whose home course is Farmington Country Club, managed to hold on to beat Brian Bassett by a single stroke. Mahone shot 72-75 147, while Bassett finished strong with 77-71 148. Scott Garrison finished third and won low Lake resident. Jack Stanke, a student of Lake Monticello pro Mark Marshall, was the low junior. Jay Klingel won the senior division after shooting a very impressive 69 on Sunday. He needed a 30 foot putt on the first play-off hole to beat David LeClere. Michael Morgan won the super seniors division with a 72-79 154. Stan Leap recorded a hole in one on Saturday on the difficult par 3 sixteenth hole.—Duncan Nixon
