Unfortunately the Flucos lost to the Freedom High Eagles by a score of 21-20. Mark Grooms substituted at quarterback for the Flucos and ran for touchdowns of 57 and 67 yards and passed to Jay Amos for a nine yard touchdown. Both teams made two out of three extra point attempts, but one of Freedom’s extra points was a two point conversion. The Flucos next home game is not until Sept. 18, when they will host Culpeper High. — Duncan Nixon
