Norman H. Bagley

Norman H. “Norm” Bagley, 99, an eight-year resident of Annapolis and previously of Lake Monticello, Va., passed away on June 5, 2018. Born on March 18, 1919 in Newark, NJ, Norm earned a Bachelor of Science degree in ceramic engineering from Rutgers University. He retired from the former Carborundum Company. During World War II, Norm served in the U.S. Navy as a pilot in the Pacific theater. He was a member of the Cape St. Claire United Methodist Church and enjoyed all outdoor activities, especially swimming and golfing.

Norm was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Motley and sister, Anetha Fuchs. He is survived by his loving wife of 74 years, Alice I. Bagley; one son, Scott (Jennifer Mitchell) Bagley of Charlottesville, VA; one daughter, Crystal (Steven) Deller of Arnold, MD; son-in-law, Burk Motley; five grandsons, Justin and Evan Bagley, Will Motley, and Jason (Laura) and Jeremy Broadhead; three granddaughters, Wendy (Todd) Sloper, Kelly and Jaimeé Motley; and four great-grandchildren, Elodie Broadhead and Zoie, Briel and Scarlet Sloper.

Friends were invited to join Norm’s family at his memorial service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 9 at the Cape St. Claire United Methodist Church in Annapolis, MD 21409. Burial will be private.
