Press release
Aqua Virginia announced Friday (March 15) the acquisition of 21 water systems that serve about 1,500 people in Lancaster, Northumberland and Westmoreland counties. Aqua purchased the assets of the systems from Kevin L. Gouldman and Northern Neck Water, Inc. for nearly $468,000.
All the systems are located near other Aqua water systems on Virginia’s Northern Neck. Many are waterfront Chesapeake Bay developments that have capacity to grow.
“We look forward to delivering safe drinking water and reliable service to our new Northern Neck customers,” said Aqua Virginia President John Aulbach. “Our team of experienced professionals is dedicated to maintaining a strong water infrastructure, protecting public health and the environment, and giving back to the communities we serve.”
Aqua provides water and wastewater service to about 80,000 people in 38 counties across Virginia.
