Fluco baseball Coach Joel Gray nominated a number of his players for All-Jefferson District honors after the close of the season May 16. The team is 16-2 overall so a number of players are likely to be honored. Jacob Critzer, senior catcher and utility player, recorded an amazing .456 batting average with eight home runs, 12 doubles and 32 RBI. Junior pitcher/outfielder Andrew Ward batted .327 and was 5-0 on the mound with a 1.17 ERA. Junior pitcher/first baseman Kevin Ward had very impressive .438 batting average, and was 6-1 on the mound with an astonishing ERA of 0.29. Senior third baseman Ryan Groome batted .358 with 26 runs scored.
