Press release
It has been an honor and privilege to serve the citizens of Fluvanna County as treasurer since 1984. I have worked hard to provide excellent levels of customer service and financial stability for Fluvanna County. I have excellent staff members who work diligently to give all customers great customer service and to resolve issues that might come up.
I have been blessed in many ways: My faith in God, my husband, my children and grandchildren, and extended family and friends have supported me through 48 years of public service. For the past 35 years, it has been my honor to serve you as treasurer of Fluvanna County.
I have been very blessed to have your support in the past elections, and hope to once again have the privilege of serving as your treasurer. I ask for your support and vote on Nov. 5.
I was born, raised and educated in Fluvanna County, attending Fluvanna County Public schools and graduating from FCHS at Carysbrook. I am married to Richard Lenherr and we have three sons: Michael, Steven and Daniel, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. I have attended Wesley’s Chapel United Methodist Church all of my life and serve as lay leader, cemetery chairman, on finance committee and community outreach.
I worked from June 1971 to Dec. 31, 1983, for the commonwealth’s attorney and county attorney for Fluvanna County. I was elected treasurer in 1984 and have served in this public service position since then. I am a member of the Treasurer’s Association of Virginia.
Editor’s note: Also running for treasurer are Ben Hudson and Kim Oliver-Hyland. The election is Nov. 5.
