Curtis James Armstrong, 83, was found a little after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday (June 26) after going missing from his Bremo-area home the preceding afternoon, according to the Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office.
Armstrong was found at a gas station in Louisa County’s portion of Zion Crossroads by people who recognized him from news and social media posts. He was disoriented but otherwise unharmed, according to the sheriff’s office.
Before he was found Wednesday morning, Armstrong was seen at the Central Virginia Community Health Center in New Canton Tuesday at around 4:30 p.m. Earlier he had left home in his red Chevy truck with Virginia plates reading PL9998. Armstrong got lost earlier this year and was located in Nottaway County, according to the sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office wishes to thank the public for their assistance in locating Armstrong.
