Fluvanna County High School’s Competition Cheer Squad hosted the 3C Region meet on April 10. After finishing second in the Jefferson District meet, Coach Kenny Larios said that his team went into the Region competition with two goals. The first was to post a score of 215 or better and the second was to make it to the second round of the competition. Both these goals were achieved. The team was scored at 218.5 in the first round and that score was sufficient to move the team into the second round. Coach Larios said that this is the first time in many years that a Fluco competition cheer squad as made it into the second round at a Region 3C meet.
The squad consisted of the following athletes. Delaney Hammond, Zachary Fontenot, Danielle Bryant, Kelsey Randolph, Olivia Reardon, Jamie Roth, Jacob Henderson, Rebecca Taylor, Addie Roth, Taylor Parker, Evie Benson, Sarah Beth Robinson, Anne Charlotte Robinson, Ellie Miles, and Sydney Forren.
