Judy Karen Reece, 61, of Palmyra, VA, formerly of Princeton, died Sunday, September 19, 2021, at the residence of her sister in Palmyra. Born March 3, 1960, in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late William Jefferson “Willie” Reece and June Marie Webb Reece. Judy retired from Belk in Bluefield where she worked in the Human Resource department. She was a 1978 graduate of Princeton High School. Judy is survived by her loving sisters, Connie Scott and husband Fred of Princeton, and Debbie Lucado and husband Jerry, with whom she made her home, of Palmyra, VA; nephews, David Arney and his former wife Jessica, Aaron Scott and wife Pam, and Jason Scott; niece Morgan Lucado Belcher and husband Brandon; great nephew, Reece Arney; great-niece, Taylor Scott; cousins, Patrick and Melissa Haye, Steve and Cindy Crowe, and Tom and Kristen Oxley; friend and caregiver, Leslie Patterson; lifelong friends, Keith Noble, Lynn Pendleton, Allen Champ, and Lorena Eplin; and her work family, Linda Shinault, Debbie Belcher, Sandy Anderson, and April Stillwell. A celebration of Judy’s life was held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Patrick Haye officiating. Burial followed at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends served as pallbearers.
