Fluvanna County Sheriff’s deputies responded Aug. 19 at 9:30 p.m. to the Dollar General located in Fork Union for the report of an armed robbery in progress.
The suspect fled the scene prior to law enforcement arrival. He is described as a black male, short in stature, late 30s to early 40s, wearing a black mask, gloves, and shoes and gray hoodie. The suspect fled on foot headed north on James Madison Highway.
The case remains under active investigation.
