Phillip Keimig died Monday, October 17, 2022, from complications of Parkinson’s and diabetes. He was an LMOA member since 1993, an active member of the Computer Users and Genealogy Interest Group. He was born in Peekskill, N.Y. He graduated from Peekskill High in 1953, where he received the fourth-year history prize, a Regents Diploma, and a financial scholarship. He served in the N.Y. Army National Guard, 133rd Ordinance, Peekskill, N.Y., and Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Md. He completed his undergraduate studies at NYU, Arts and Science, concentrating in bio-chem., math., German, and speech. His graduate degrees were a Masters in Science Education, and a Professional Degree in Education Administration. He taught math and science for 35 years at Sleepy Hollow High School, Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow, N.Y. He was honored with receiving a dedication of the school’s 1972 yearbook, and a study sabbatical. In 1965 he married Diane Brown at Saint Andrew Lutheran Church, Yorktown Heights, N.Y. Diane died in 2002. Two sons and three grandchildren survive.
