A waterfront home at Lake Monticello recently sold for more than one million dollars—the highest sales price ever recorded at Lake Monticello, according to Vicki Wilson, owner of Monticello Country, Realtors in Palmyra and the agent who sold the home.

“It’s a good thing,” Wilson said of the record-breaking sales price. “Waterfronts are appreciating and will continue to do so. I think this will help all homes at the Lake, especially the waterfront homes.”

Listed for $1,190,000, 17 Bonita Road was only on the market for five days before selling for $1,250,000, according to Sarah Monceaux, a realtor with Avenue Realty. “That is indeed the highest home that has sold at Lake Monticello,” she said. Monceaux said a “combo of the size, condition, and location all contributed to the high price point.”

Monceaux said 24 waterfront homes sold at Lake Monticello in 2022 ranging in price from $975,000 to $416,500. She said she sold two of those waterfront homes and one waterfront lot last year.
