FCHS graduates can pick up pre-ordered “Retrospect” FCHS yearbooks on Thursday, July 27, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the FCHS main entrance. Yearbooks will also be available for purchase at $85 while supplies last.
Underclassmen will receive pre-ordered yearbooks on the first Friday of the new school year.
The 2023 Yearbook editors, Sophia Harris and Asiana Hawkins, worked with Journalism Adviser Elizabeth Pellicane and dozens of yearbook staffers to create the chronological yearbook which covers the first day of the 2023 year through graduation on May 26.
“We initially picked the Retrospect theme because we liked the idea and aesthetic of it, but we realized it is a great way to sum up the year because the yearbook is all about looking back and appreciating memories made throughout the school year,” said Harris.
Harris said she is especially excited by some yearbook pages. “We have one page called Retro Trends. We created this page to one, tie in with our yearbook theme, and two, to highlight the overall trends that have come back into style,” she said. “We also have a page called Nostalgia, which again ties into the theme and gives students a great opportunity to talk about their favorite shows, games, celebrities, and music from their childhood,” she added.
Graduates who cannot pick up their pre-ordered yearbook on July 27 may also pick them up during Open House Night on Aug. 7, from noon to 8 p.m. For more information email epellicane@apps.fluco.org.
