The Fluvanna Leadership Development Program recently graduated 21 county residents in its 20th annual class. The program is designed to create more-effective citizens of the county via classes featuring such things as county government, fire and rescue, community services, agriculture, economic development and infrastructure.

Signups are underway at www.fluvannaleadership.org for class 21, which starts Aug. 24. There are no prerequisites for the class, but it typically fills quickly. The $75 includes all 18 Thursday evening clas-ses, a bus tour of the county with lunch, snacks and drinks at the classes, and a full dinner for graduation.
