Editorial designer Amelia McConnell and Lynn Stayton-Eurell, advertising designer, were winners in the 2023 Virginia Press Association annual news and advertising contest. The winners were announced Sunday (May 5) at the VPA banquet held in Charlottesville.
McConnell won first place in page design and second place in front page design. Stayton-Eurell won first and second place in real estate page designs.
“We’re proud of the work these two experienced designers do for the Fluvanna Review every week,” said publisher Carlos Santos. “Both are talented designers who work to make news and ads easy and interesting to read and see.”
The Fluvanna Review competes in the non-daily group 3 category which includes papers with a circulation between 4,000 and 8,999.
