Fluco Coach Mitchell Pace commented after the game that “we played an all-around solid game…I’m very proud of these young men getting their first win of the season in the Jefferson District.” (their second win overall.)

Leading tacklers for the Flucos were senior Caden Harris, Junior CJ Johnson and sophomore Dakota Drumheller.
(Late breaking) The Flucos are now an even 3-2 on the season when the Flucos added another road win on Oct. 4. They traveled to Albemarle High and scored a 15-7 win. They had a successful goal line stand as the clock ran down. After taking over on downs deep in their own territory, they were able to come up with a first down to run out the clock. Sam Loving led the Flucos attack with 129 yards rushing and a touchdown. Danny Alveranga converted on a 40 yard field goal for the Flucos.
On Oct. 11 they will play at Western Albemarle High School a team that is currently 0-4. The Flucos’ Homecoming contest will be on Oct. 18 against Orange County High. The homecoming game may be a challenge as the Hornets are currently 4-1. On the following two Fridays, the Flucos are away, at Louisa High and Goochland County. Their final regular season game is at home against Monticello High on Oct. 8. That game will be Senior Night.
