Dr. Marko Ilich is the new owner of Dentistry at Nahor, taking charge of the dentistry practice formerly owned by the late Dr. Leo Scholl.

Dr. Leo Scholl’s widow, Kelsie Timbie, said Ilich was the perfect fit.

Referring to her late husband, Timbie said:

“I’ve witnessed firsthand the dedication, care, and integrity he poured into this practice over the years. Dentistry at Nahor was his life’s work, built with passion, principles, and a deep commitment to his patients and team. The community he created here was one of his proudest accomplishments. That’s why finding the right person to carry his legacy forward has mattered so deeply, not just to me, but to everyone who knew and worked alongside Dr. Scholl.”

She added that she was confident that Dr. Ilich was the right person to carry on her late husband’s work and that he approaches dentistry with the same kindness, care, and commitment to patients that you’ve come to expect from Dentistry at Nahor.

“He values his patients, his team, and giving back to the community, ensuring that the practice will remain a place where everyone is treated like family,” she said. “He not only brings exceptional clinical skills, but also the same grounded values that mattered to Dr. Scholl: patient-first care, a strong team culture, and deep community connection.”

Dr. Ilich grew up in Macedonia. Inspired by his father, also a dentist, he followed in his footsteps, earning his B.S. degrees in biology and chemistry at the University of Central Oklahoma. He graduated with honors, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. Like Dr. Scholl, Dr. Ilich is passionate about the latest developments in the field of dentistry, continuing education, providing evidence-based dentistry utilizing the latest technology, and staying up-to-date with research and materials. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Richmond Dental Society.

He is dedicated to service and volunteers with Mission of Mercy events across Virginia and participated in a pediatric mission trip to Belize. Recently, he provided oral surgery care to underserved patients in Wise County through Mission of Mercy.

During his time off, he and his wife Angie travel and enjoy the outdoors with their two dogs Pixie and Gohan. They enjoy cycling, hiking, exploring national parks, and gardening.
