About Public Notices
Virginia law requires many government and legal notices to be published in a newspaper of record so citizens can stay informed about actions that may affect them. Since 2019, state law also requires these notices to be posted on the newspaper’s website and in a statewide public notice database, ensuring they are accessible online to the public at no charge.
