Residents reminded to lock their cars
Two vehicles have been stolen and four vehicles have been broken into on Justin Drive in the Sycamore Square neighborhood, according to a press release from the Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded Thursday (Oct. 4) to Justin Drive and determined that personal items and mobile electronics were taken from the vehicles. Deputies believe the thefts occurred between Wednesday night at 11 p.m. and Thursday morning at 6 a.m., according to the release.
The stolen vehicles are a 2015 Kia sedan with Virginia plates reading UXC2413 and a 2012 Chevy truck with Virginia plates reading UUW1477.
The photograph was taken of a possible suspect at approximately 2:40 a.m., according to the release.
The sheriff’s office urges Fluvanna residents to lock their vehicles and not to leave items of value in their car.
Anyone who sees these stolen vehicles should call 911 and report the location of the vehicle. They should not attempt to contact the driver or occupants.
