Sheriff’s office still seeking help for missing man

The Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office is still seeking information in the disappearance of Robert Lee Hourihan who has been missing for nine years. Foul play is suspected.

Capt. David Wells said, “it’s been nine years and we are still hopeful one day we can find some answers.” Wells said the sheriff’s office had no new information to share but “we still believes someone may be able to help us find Hourihan.”

He was last seen on April 8, 2011 at the E.W. Thomas Grocery Store in Palmyra. He was wearing blue work pants, a gray work shirt and brown boots.

Hourihan was driving his wife’s white Chevy Cavalier with Virginia tags TARAMAE when he disappeared. The car was found on May 28, 2011 abandoned in La Plata, Maryland.
