Due to the closing of schools because of COVID-19, high school senior athletes all over the country have lost their opportunity to participate in spring sports. College athletes may be able to have an extra year of eligibility, but for high schoolers, it is up and out with no do overs. As a result, Fluvanna County High has honored its graduating senior athletes with senior nights. Photos of all seniors were displayed on the athletic fields by the coaches and Athletic Director Scott Morris announced each senior by name, as the photos were displayed by the coaches. The lights on the fields were left on for 20 minutes, in recognition of the 2020 school year.

The following senior athletes lost their final season of spring competition.

Girls’ soccer: Evynne Stafford, Jaydn Cook, Mary Ann Crittenden, Brooke Nazar, Sam Marlowe and Amara Day.

Boys’ soccer: Tyler Seal, Caleb Dennis, Elijah Bullock, Ethan Hartung, Brandon Lucas, Bradley Holtz, Ethan Smialek, Ford DeVault, and Emory Davis.
