Lara Dugolinsky appointed FMS principal

The Fluvanna County School Board on April 12 unanimously approved the appointment of Lara Dugolinksy as the new Fluvanna Middle School Principal (FMS).

“I am truly excited about Ms. Dugolinsky taking over the helm as the Fluvanna Middle School. Lara brings a wealth of experiences and knowledge to this position. She has been a wonderful asset to our school system and I know that she will continue to help us grow and move forward together for our children,” stated Chuck Winkler, superintendent.

Dugolinky has been an assistant principal at FMS since January 1, 2019 and is a graduate of William Paterson University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in community health. She also holds a Masters in administration and supervision as well as a Masters in special education from the University of Phoenix. In addition to her experience in Fluvanna, Dugolinsky was the administrator for special education in Hanover County along with being a special education teacher and department chair in Henrico County.

Dugolinsky has three children and enjoys spending time on Lake Gaston with family and friends. “I could not be more excited to grow professionally at FMS. I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with the staff, students and community for two years already and am looking forward to many more years of working together,” she said.
