Donna Lillian Sclater Williams, 86, passed away unexpectantly on January 13, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell John Sclater, Sr., and Edna Madge Haden Sclater; her older brother, Darrell John Sclater, Jr., and infant brother, Allen Clark Sclater. She is survived by her son, Steven Wayne Sclater; her brother, Charles Gilmer Sclater (Bettye) and sister, Betty Elizabeth Sclater. Also surviving her are four nieces and nephews and five grand-nieces and nephews.
She owned “Donna’s Quilts and Crafts” and was known near and far for her beautiful quilts. Many a bride had her wedding gown made by Donna, and the community will miss her sewing repair skills.
Her cremains will be buried at Bethel Baptist Church, and there will be a homegoing service of remembrance at a later date.
