Fluvanna Youth Football is back in action. The youth league opened registration on May 1st, with practices and conditioning beginning mid-July. Fluvanna’s youngest student athletes have been working hard and are just days away from taking the field for their first games of the 2022 Season. September 10th will mark their return to the field for the opening of their regular season as well as the home opener for Fluvanna Youth Football (FYF). Opening day games will be held at the Fluvanna County High School football field, admission will be free, concessions will be available, and Fluvanna Youth Cheer will be there for the 10:00 a.m. game, so bring the whole family out to enjoy some football and help support your Fluvanna Flucos as they take on the Albemarle Patriots. Returning this season, FYF will be bringing back a fourth age group to its lineup; the Presidents age division covering 12-13 years olds. Each of the four teams will have a game on September 10th starting with the defending Jefferson District Youth Football League Champions for the Explorer’s division (ages 5-7), at 10:00 a.m. Founders (ages 8-9) will play at 11:30 a.m. followed by the Governors (ages 10-11) at 1:30 p.m. The Presidents will close out the day with a 3:30 p.m. start time. Please come out and help support the next generation of Fluco Football and FLOOD THE STANDS IN BLUE AND GOLD.
