Baseball. Softball. Boys soccer. Girls soccer. Boys tennis. Girls tennis. Boys lacrosse. Girls lacrosse. Boys track and field. Girls track and field. It is going to be a busy spring for Fluco athletes, coaches and fans.
All of these sports kick off next week. On Monday the 17th, the soccer teams swing into action against Liberty Christian. The 18th of March is a wild day. The baseball and softball squads will both be hosting Wilson Memorial. The lacrosse teams will be taking on Fauquier County. The girls will be at home and the boys will be on the road. The tennis teams open up on March 20 against Waynesboro. The girls will be at home and the boys on the road. Track and field opens on March 22 hosting the Fluco invitational.
The baseball and softball teams follow their Tuesday openers with games on Thursday and Friday March 20 and 21. On the 20th, they will both travel to Waynesboro and on the 21st they will be at Wilson Memorial. The Fluco soccer teams follow-up their Monday openers with games against Madison County on the 20th. The girls at home and the boys on the road. Girls lacrosse also has two games next week. They host EC Glass on the 21st. Boys lacrosse does not play twice next week. Their second game is on March 25 at Patrick Henry High. The tennis squads are not as busy early as the other teams. Their second matches don’t come up until April.
The seasons are hectic for virtually everyone. The baseball and softball teams are scheduled to play 21 times between March 18 and May 22. The soccer teams have 17 matches in that same time frame. The lacrosse teams are also scheduled to play 17 times this spring. The tennis teams are on the court 16 times.
