Edward Alexander “Ed” “Sonny” “Pops” Seroskie, Sr., 85, entered into eternal life on June 30, 2026, surrounded by family at his beloved Woodsedge home in Lake Monticello. Just two days earlier, he was blessed to meet his nineteenth great-grandchild, Baby Bennett.
Born April 29, 1941, in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, to Eddie and Florence Seroskie, Ed lived a life rooted in faith, family, service, laughter, and love.
Ed married the love of his life, Kathleen “Kathy” Seroskie, on November 19, 1966. During Kathy’s illness, he cared for her with extraordinary patience and tenderness, each morning pinning a small gold angel to her shirt—a simple expression of his unwavering devotion. Kathy preceded him in death after 59 years of marriage.
Ed proudly served in the U.S. Army, much of that time in Germany, followed by more than 30 years with the Central Intelligence Agency, including assignments in Nigeria and Rome.
A devoted Catholic, Ed prayed the rosary daily and actively served his church and community. He was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, KOVAR State Leader, Lake Monticello Board member, nursing home advocate, and a beloved Santa to many.
Ed loved traveling, theater, the Washington Commanders, collecting, technology (“Techie Ed”), singing, polka dancing, dogs, and making people laugh. Most of all, he loved people and had a gift for making everyone feel seen, heard, and valued.
Ed is survived by his children, Lisa (Jake), Edward Jr. (Sandy), and Peter (Diane); brother, Leonard (Jean); 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many beloved family members and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 15, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Palmyra. Visitation begins at 10 a.m., followed by Mass at 11 a.m. and a luncheon.
