The LMOA said that at the direction of the Virginia Department of Health, Aqua VA is hand delivering a “precautionary boil water notice” to some homes affected by the water outages.
The LMOA said: Once the health department gives the all clear, Aqua VA will deliver a follow up notice that customers may resume normal water use. Customers who do not receive the precautionary boil water notice are not affected by it. They may experience discolored water, which is safe to use and should clear up by running the tap for a while.
According to Aqua VA, roads affected by the water line breaks will be repaired to Virginia Department of Transportation standards once the excavated areas have settled, the LMOA said.
