He was born in the Bronx, New York. He is survived by his daughter, Gail DeSandis, his son, Mike DeSandis, fellow Marines and the Calvary Chapel Fluvanna family. Celebration of Life service will be held from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Effort Baptist Church, Palmyra Va. Fellowship to follow. Burial will be conducted in Arlington, Va. at a later date.
