They will play Thursday night (May 23)at Louisa High School for the play-off title, against the winner of the Western Albemarle versus Powhatan match-up that followed the Fluco game tonight. Fluco Coach Mike Sheridan said after the game that his team’s strategy was to make the Monticello pitcher work. In the first two innings the Flucos went up and down in order, but forced the Mustang pitcher to throw 30 pitches. the Flucos broke the game open in the third with five runs on a hit batter, four walks and three singles. The Flucos put five more runs up in the fourth and the game was effectively over. – Duncan Nixon
