According to Director of Public Works Wayne Stephens, a report on this alternate source of water is “imminent.” And when it comes back, Fluvanna may have a whole new option on the table.
Seven holes in the ground over by Carysbrook may hold the key to solving Fluvanna’s water woes. So close to Carysbrook that only a true local could tell the difference, the Thomasville area has several wells standing idle. And these so-called Thomasville wells have been rumored to have a capacity of 150,000 to 400,000 gallons per day, though Stephens clarifies that, without any data, the county has no idea of what the Thomasville wells’ true yield would be.
