There was a good sized, vocal crowd of students and adults cheering the Flucos on. In the opening game, the Flucos faced game point four times and scored each time to avoid a two point loss. They finally edged ahead to win the first game 30-28. They lost the second game 25-18, but came back to record wins of 25-17 and 25 -19, to close out the match. Junior Maddy Kline had 18 kill shots and five service aces. Junior Leslie Walters had 11 kills and eight aces. Senior Emily Haden had 12 kills and two aces. Sophomore setter Kate Stutz had 38 assists. The Flucos will travel to Loudoun County on Thursday (Nov.14) to take on Loudoun County High School, a powerhouse in girls’ volleyball.—Duncan Nixon
