Describe one of the highlights of your life.
I spent six months in Moscow, studying at the Moscow State University. It was a great adventure. I had a wonderful time and still keep in touch with friends I made while there. We traveled all over the area and my favorite area was St. Petersburg.
Describe one of the biggest surprises of your life.
When my older brother fell in love and got married. My family never saw that coming and he found a wonderful woman.
Describe one of the tragedies/struggles of your life.
My mom and I are very close. We talk almost every day. At 64 my mom has beaten cancer twice now. This was and is our biggest struggle as a family and we are thankful for every day we have her and her cancer remains in remission.
Describe a dream you have for your future.
To travel. Someday I would like to buy an RV and travel around the United States, ideally visiting all of the restaurants from Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, a reality show on the Food Network.
Describe a fear you have for your future.
I fear that people will no longer read or like books. I can’t imagine that. I have actually had nightmares where I wake up and there are no more books and no one can read.
