Her pride and joy was her family. It includes her children Stephen Fairweather (Sue) of West Linn, Oregon; Leslie Brooks (Michael) of Saint Leonard, Maryland: LeeAnne Johnson (Laird) of Round Hill, Virginia; and David Fairweather (Janette) of Windham, New Hampshire. Grandchildren include Shelley Fairweather-Vega, Sarah Fairweather, Jake Johnson, Ashleigh Johnson, Maria Brooks, Emma Fairweather, and Nick Fairweather. Her great-grandchildren are Joseph and Maria Vega. She is also survived by her brother Richard Deneke of Stone Mountain, Georgia, and is predeceased by her husband and her grandson Sean Brooks.
June was an avid amateur artist, and specialized in oil paintings of old barns. She exhibited in multiple local art shows over her lifetime. Her other passion was duplicate bridge, and recently she had been a member of the Lusby Duplicating Bridge Club, which she enjoyed very much. She had 700 master points.
