Annette Elliott Downs

She was a strong, capable, funny and determined woman who would do anything to help her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children; Mary Melvin Brock, Timothy Melvin, Margaret Ann Melvin Webster, and Monica Stallings, five grandchildren; Lisa, Thomas, Allen, Kacie, and Christopher, and two great-granddaughters; Jenna and Kinslee.
Annette killed herself on Dec. 27, 2015. She left instructions that there should be no services to celebrate her life. The family is respecting that request but we ask you to help us to honor our Mom by telling your loved ones that you love them, cherishing the time that you have with them, being kind, gentle and respectful to one another. We find comfort, and pray you will, too, in knowing that our merciful God is now enfolding her in his loving, peaceful embrace.
