Hunter Erik Campbell

Hunter is a great lover of metal music, tattoos, the culinary arts, animals and his beloved “Teddy,” his cuddly life-long friend.  Hunter’s love of cooking starting at our local Golden China as the “fried rice boy,” which led to a number of positions in fine dining.  Hunter set his goals and achieved every single one of them, ending at his current position as sous chef at Oakhart Social Club on West Main Street in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Hunter had accomplished so much in his short time. He graduated from Fluvanna County High School in 2013 and earned an Associate’s Degree in science (culinary arts) at Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) in 2016. Hunter was on the Advisory Board of the PVCC culinary arts – a great honor for such a young chef.

Come celebrate Hunter’s life at a memorial service on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, at 4 p.m. at Lake Christian Church, located at 733 S. Boston Road in Palmyra, Virginia.

Hunter was a great lover of music and simple style, and the family requests that those attending dress casually in a t-shirt of their favorite musical artist or band.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Hunter Campbell Memorial Scholarship. Funds may be mailed to PVCC Scholarship Office, 501 College Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22902. Make checks out to PVCC Educational Foundation. Hunter Campbell should be written on the memo line to ensure the donations support this fund.
