Rainbow International has franchises throughout the world specializing in cleaning and restoration, mainly following a natural disaster such as a flood or fire or smaller disasters, such as a pipe bursting.
Over 30 business owners showed up on the hot, humid Thursday evening to network and enjoy and many raved about the food – mostly the barbecued ribs. Good Neighbor Pharmacy, Globe Travel, the Fluvanna SPCA, Red Rocker Candy and Mailbox Express were just a few of the many businesses represented. A local band entertained those present while they mingled, sipping margaritas.
Supervisor Joe Chesser made an appearance as did Scott Leake, field representative for Congressman Robert Hurt. Both have an interest in helping small businesses and area economic development.
One chamber member stated that this was one of the best turn-outs, although Red Rocker also did well with hosting a Business After Hours last month. Everyone was positive and encouraged at the direction the county seems to be headed as long as they stay on course with economic development as the focus.
