I am so grateful to be living in such a caring community. It has been a long hard road back to recovery, but the support from the Lake Monticello community has gone a long way to help me along my road to recovery.
I want to thank the police and fire and rescue volunteers for their quick response. I want to thank all of you who sent cards, plants and flowers. Even though Burt does not cook, we certainly did not go hungry. Thanks to Kathryn Hunter for organizing “Take a Meal”, over twenty-five people volunteered to bring us meals each day. I especially want to thank those of you who came over to “babysit” me, relieving Burt, and giving him a chance to get out of the house for some badly needed recreation.
I hope someday to join many of you back on the golf course and I appreciate Judy White for keeping my Pink Flamingo beginners’ group playing.
