This was her response after my personal apology “I am certain you appreciate all volunteers, but we (should!) do it because it’s a good thing for the community, not to see our names in a booklet. The real pride from being a part of this team will come on Saturday when we see our work pay off and the event is a success for the families of Fluvanna. I helped for that reason. I know you are thankful for my part and I am honored to be able to help you put together such an amazing event!” Lisa is the epitome of a great volunteer. We thank her and the dozens of others who made the day so special. Thanks also go to the county workers who helped and manned the county tent and displayed great information on Pleasant Grove. We also want to thank the vendors who provided so many great children’s activities and all the entries into the scarecrow contest. Finally, want to thank the visitors and those who donated to the farm museum. We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did.
